Hawkeye Achievement Scholarship

The Hawkeye Community College Achievement Scholarship awards a total of $100,000 each fall semester to graduating high school seniors. Each scholarship award is worth $1,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Current academic year high school graduate.
  • Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5.
  • Enroll full-time, 12 or more credit hours, at Hawkeye for the fall semester following high school graduation.

Step 1: Apply at Hawkeye

Apply at Hawkeye, if you have not done so already.

Deadline: You must submit your Application for Admission by March 1 and be accepted by April 1.

Step 2: Complete the General Hawkeye Scholarship Application

Complete the general Hawkeye Scholarship Application if you have not done so already.

Include the following, if applicable, in your personal statement on the scholarship application:

  • Leadership and involvement activities
  • Volunteerism
  • Career goals

Deadline: March 1

Step 3: Register for Classes

You must be registered as a full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 credits, for the fall semester following high school graduation.

MORE (Mandatory Orientation and Registration Experience) sessions begin in April. Watch your Hawkeye email for more information.
