Financial Aid FERPA Policy
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) deals with the rights of students and parents relating to:
- Inspecting records.
- Procedures to request amendments to those records.
- Rights concerning disclosure of personally identifiable information.
- Rights concerning filing a complaint with the Department of Education for a school’s failure to comply with FERPA requirements.
If a student wishes to have financial aid information released to other individuals, a release can be signed in the Financial Aid office or printed from the student's MyHawkeye account and submitted to the Financial Aid office.
