Calling all poets! The Hawkeye Poetry Slam is an annual event celebrating artistic expression in a competition format. Current Hawkeye students can sign to perform an original poem for an audience. Once all performances are complete, the top performers will be awarded based on results from our judging panel and an audience vote.

Rehearsal Opportunities Before the Event

To help you prepare, two rehearsal times will be offered the week before the event, giving performers a chance to get comfortable on stage and with the microphone.
