JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintains customer confidence and protects operational integrity by keeping information confidential, and provides support for a variety of special projects, committees, functions, and activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Welcomes students and guests by greeting them in person or on the telephone and by answering or directing inquiries.
- Maintains effective and efficient flow of communication and information through calendars, correspondence, memos, telephone messages, and office records.
- Ensures that correct distribution and disposition is made of complaints, notices, publications, memoranda, directives, and related materials.
- Enters data into computer via use of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and various other computer applications.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects integrity by keeping information confidential.
- Assists instructors and students with office-related needs.
- Miscellaneous office duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assists and direct client questions to appropriate staff and/or areas.
- Maintains general knowledge of programs, classes, and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work with and provide customer service for diverse populations (staff, students, and general public).
- Project a positive professional image.
- Administrative writing skills, reporting skills, scheduling, Microsoft Office/Google applications skills, organization, time management, office equipment maintenance, and verbal communication skills.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. Anticipated hours will be five hours per day; 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., four evenings per week, Monday through Thursday.
