Job Summary 

This position manages and coordinates National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnership (NACEP) activities under the direction of the Director of Transitional Programs. Provides leadership and guidance to campus partners regarding NACEP requirements and processes. Ensures that all NACEP accreditation guidelines are followed and complete all tasks related to maintaining NACEP accreditation. Serves as a team member of Transitional Programs and assists with the Student Tutoring and Computer Lab and Work Based Learning areas.

Essential Job Functions

Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the coordination and management of the NACEP program for all participating high schools in the program

  • Serves as the point of contact for HCC high school partners for NACEP related inquiries

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, deans, department chairs, and high school relations staff

  • Manages NACEP activities

  • Uphold concurrent enrollment policies as they relate to NACEP requirements

  • Serve as a liaison between participating high schools and the college on matters related to following and completing NACEP requirements

  • Maintains a working list of qualified instructors complete with updated contact information

  • Organizes and manages concurrent instructor documentation and information

  • Works in collaboration with academic deans and faculty to meet NACEP guidelines

  • Acts as communication liaison between faculty chairs, faculty and concurrent instructors

  • Completes NACEP yearly reports and re-accreditation process

  • Coordinates faculty site visits to dual-credit instructors

  • Develops and coordinates new concurrent faculty training each semester

  • Creates and organizes annual NACEP professional development event for concurrent faculty

  • Communicates and works with Hawkeye Community College High School Relations staff to ensure consistent course offerings and adherence to NACEP requirements

  • Serves as a backup front desk staff member of the Student Tutoring and Computer Lab

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, or related field

  • Demonstrated experience with project/program management

  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit professional judgement and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated skill in attention to detail and accuracy

  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and have strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be highly motivated, possess demonstrated planning and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow complex written directions

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google programs

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision on several concurrent projects

  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of NACEP requirements

  • Knowledge or experience working in higher education

Working Conditions 

Requires skills for succeeding in an office environment, using technology.  Requires good hand-eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.  Work is performed in an office setting.  Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours.  During course of day, interact with students, faculty and staff in person, by telephone and computer.

Employment Status 

Part-time position averaging 24-27 hours per week.  This position offers a choice of retirement programs—IPERS (defined benefit) or TIAA (defined contribution).
