About Me

I grew up in Polk City, Iowa near Des Moines. I went to the University of Northern Iowa and obtained by BA in early childhood and elementary education and had the opportunity to do my student teaching in Okinawa, Japan. After that, I moved to Athens, Georgia where I taught and went to the University of Georgia to obtain my master's degree. When I moved back to Iowa, I taught at Johnston Community Schools and at DMACC on the Ankeny and West Campus.
