Emily Boge, CDA, RDH, MPA
Hawkeye Dental Administrative Chair Emily Boge is a 2000 graduate of Hawkeye's Dental Assisting program and a 2003 graduate of Hawkeye's Dental Hygiene program. After attending Hawkeye, she received her Bachelor's degree in psychology with an emphasis in gerontology and a Master’s in public administration - healthcare from Upper Iowa University. Emily is a current doctoral student at Franklin College, majoring in organizational leadership and higher education.
Prior to her employment at Hawkeye, Boge practiced as a full-time clinical dental hygienist in Manchester, Iowa. She is an active member of her professional associations (ADHA, AADH, IFDH, ADAA, ADEA and OSAP), advocating for the dental hygiene profession on may levels. Boge received the 2015 Master Clinician Award from the American Dental Hygienists' Association, the Iowa Dental Hygienists’ Association's Hygienist of the Year in 2012, the Iowa Dental Hygienists’ Association's Distinguished Service Award in 2019, and is a 2019 Fellow of the American Dental Hygiene Academy.
Boge has designed and marketed two dental instruments internationally and owns a dental speaking, writing and consulting firm called Think Big Dental where she lectures and promotes innovative dental products and concepts.
