Amy Boevers is an Instructor in the English and Communication Department. She earned both her Master of Arts in English Literature and her Bachelor of Arts in English Education from the University of Northern Iowa. Her Master research project focused on using advertising to teach persuasive writing in Composition classes. Amy began her career teaching high school English, coaching volleyball and basketball, and building sets for the drama department. She has been teaching English courses for Hawkeye Community College for over 20 years. For fun she likes to shop for vintage treasures and sing with the Nitpickers.
