About Aaron Narigon

Aaron is an Assistant Professor of English and has taught at Hawkeye Community College since 2002. He has also taught classes for DMACC and Wartburg College.

He has lived and worked in Bayonne, New Jersey, birthplace of George R.R. Martin, and San Diego, California, home of Dr. Seuss.

In San Diego he worked as a Living History Educator for the San Diego Maritime Museum, role playing a sailor from the 1800’s for classes of elementary school students who stayed overnight on the ship The Star of India. Aaron was well-known there for his oral rendition of the ghost story about a stowaway boy who reportedly died onboard, a story recounted on an episode of the show Ghost Hunters.

Currently Aaron co-organizes Middlemoot, Hawkeye’s biennial Tolkien-themed conference.

Aaron is also an accomplished musician, playing bass guitar in Cedar Valley bands for almost 30 years. Check out the Nitpickers
