LGBTQ Inclusive Language: Words That Hurt & Why

Sometimes we say words without realizing the impact they may have on others. Fully expressing ourselves freely and in a respectful fashion is only possible by understanding the root of certain words and phrases and their histories of oppression.

In the spirit of enjoying our language liberties and practicing civility and inclusion in our discourse join us for a training on the basics of LGBTQ terminology. Participants will also be guided in a conversation about inclusive and non-inclusive language the importance of pronouns and basic information about LGBTQ discrimination.
