IGNITE is a foundational skill development program designed to stimulate student interest in today's Advanced Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 careers using project based learning. Introduction to Systems expands on the pre-requisite course Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing technical topics in Smart Automation. This course introduces several technologies related to the advanced manufacturing. There are 28 lessons covering technology topics in: Hand Tools, Machine Drives, Precision Measurement, AC/DC Electricity, Electrical Sensors, Electrical Relay Control, Robotics Programming, Computer Aided Design (CAD) / Additive Manufacturing, Print Reading, CNC Machines and Machine Tools. Students will access interactive multimedia lesson via Amatrol's learning management system and complete knowledge exams online. Each interactive multimedia lesson consists of two types of learning activities: objectives and skills. Additionally course will hand mini project hands on activities to demonstrate core technical skills. This course includes employability skills related to team building. Four core components are: Technical Skills: Learning Industry 4.0 technical skills becomes an energizing experiences for students with the state-of-the-art interactive multimedia curriculum. Employability Skills: courses include eLearning lessons that teach employability skills — such as teamwork, communication, and professionalism — which are essential to workplace success. Virtual Trainers: which are simulators embedded in eLearning lessons to provide online skill practice. Hands-On Skills: hands-on workstations with state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 technologies with detailed, step-by-step curriculum.
