Geothermal systems continue to be one of the largest topics of discussion in the HVAC industry. This session will cover the history of this growing area in HVAC. Exploring its origins – is it a new technology? What led to its rise in interest? How do geothermal systems compare in efficiency to standard systems and how to main a geothermal system to achieve highest efficiency. The discussion will also reference terms and equations used in the geothermal industry. This course is approved by the Iowa Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Board to fulfill two hours of HVAC and Mechanical continuing education discipline for HVAC and mechanical license renewal.
