Hawkeye's Driver Education Program is designed to help beginner drivers develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become safe, responsible drivers. We provide 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. This program meets the requirement of the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Vehicles Division (DMV) for teenagers to obtain the graduated driver's license (GDL). Students are not required to have any driving practice before coming to class. However your child will be required to be proficient in their driving at the end of our course or they will be requested to drive with the DOT to get their license. Attendence is required for ALL sessions. No exceptions. Students must have an Iowa driver's permit before the first class.

Pre-registration required.
