Do you currently hold a Class A or B CDL and want to get back into truck driving? Bring your skills back up to speed through this 40-hour, individualized, refresher course. Class A's attention is given to the areas you need the most improvement including safe semi-truck driving skills in backing, turning, shifting, and maneuvering. Practice your skills on semi-truck simulators until you feel confident and then advance to the big rigs with 53 foot trailers. Class B's attention will be given to the areas you need the most improvement in backing, turning, and safe driving on both rural and suburban roads and you'll become proficient in vehicle inspections. Your training will include hands-on driving using simulators and full-size dump trucks. Must register with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/, then you must pass a (DOT) long form physical and pre-employment DOT drug screening. Arrowhead Medical Center is Hawkeye's approved vendor for DOT pre-employment drug screening and may be used for DOT physical as well.
