Map and Directions

This interactive workshop offers practical solutions to working across differences. Participants will learn how to be a culturally competent ally for peers, colleagues, and community members whose culture differs from their own. The training design operates from the essential position that anyone in a place of privilege can be an ally.  Many of us lack the tools to effectively engage in the process of ally ship defined as, " a lifelong process of building relationships based on trust, consistency, and accountability with marginalized individuals and groups of people."  Please join Chatara Mabry as she engages workshop participants in the systemic process of critical self-reflection, values orientation, safe space creation, and speaking out against bias and discrimination. The workshop educates participants about social justice and actively becoming a bridge for inclusivity.

Pre-registration required.
