The four-week Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program is a self-paced program so you progress through the program as you master the content. This program will teach you how to operate trucks that require a Class B CDL license, such as concrete mixer trucks, snow plows, garbage trucks, and buses. You will develop skills in backing, turning, and safe driving on both rural and suburban roads and become proficient in vehicle inspections. Your training will include individual and classroom instruction and hands-on driving using simulators and full-size dump trucks. Upon completion, you will take your vehicle inspections, DOT skills, and driving tests at Hawkeye to obtain your Class B CDL. Tuition pays for books and training and does not include a DOT drug test ($50-$100), CDL permit ($12), and DOT physical ($80-$150).

Pre-registration required.
