Purpose

To equip our community’s service delivery professionals with tools and best practices to support individuals in our community who face mental health challenges. We also intend to provide attendees with information on local mental health resources, as well as resources for continued learning opportunities.

Audience

Nurses, EMS professionals, substance abuse counselors, social workers, educators,
and other healthcare providers.

Cost

$30 - includes breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack

Continuing Education

Continuing education credit for nurses has been awarded by Hawkeye Community College, Iowa Board of Nursing Providers, #5. Nurses will receive 6.6 CEUs. EMS providers will receive a certificate of attendance reflecting 7.0 CEHs. Substance abuse counselors will receive credit for contact hours. Participants must attend the entire conference to receive credit. No partial credit will be awarded. Allied health professional are reminded that they are responsible for reviewing the governing rules of their board to determine if appropriate subject matter criteria will apply. A course evaluation will be available upon program completion.
