Author Q&A and Book Signing with Gabby Rivera

Hawkeye Community College and the University of Northern Iowa are proud to bring author Gabby Rivera to our campuses through a partnership program, Love and Inclusion Swoop into the Cedar Valley.

Gabby Rivera is an outgoing, outspoken creator who considers herself an artivist who is invested in fostering better dialogue, inspiring radical creativity, and improving our most vulnerable communities through love and inclusion.

The author of Juliet Takes a Breath, she’s also the writer of the Marvel series America— featuring America Chavez, the first queer, Latinx teen-girl superhero, ever!

Join us for an author Q&A and book signing session. Hawkeye Bookstore will be on location with copies of Rivera's book which will be available for purchase.

A keynote address will be held on the University of Northern Iowa’s campus at 7:00pm.
