Map and Directions

Hawkeye chorus and theater students will bring to life the characters and themes from Saroo Brierley’s acclaimed memoir, A Long Way Home. At only five years old, Saroo got lost on a train in India. He survived alone for weeks on the rough streets of Calcutta before being transferred to an agency and adopted by a couple in Australia. This is a triumphant story of a young man who used Google Earth to rediscover his childhood life and home in an incredible journey from India to Australia.

Two performances:

  • Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 1:30pm.
  • Friday, April 27, 2018 at 7:00pm.
