The production is a collaboration of the arts at Hawkeye in a multi-media portrayal of the common read book, "A Long Way Home”. Dramatic scenes and monologues performed by Hawkeye students will be interspersed with songs depicting various times in the life of Saroo Brierley as he gets lost on a train in India and separated from his mother and brothers at the age of 5. The thoughts of a lost little boy (Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child) through making a new “Home” in Australia to “A Journey to the Past” to find his birth family will be traced in word, pictures and song.
