This conference will focus on our workforce. What are businesses doing to attract new talent? Learn about creative initiatives that include technical skills training to culture reformation. Additionally, you'll hear from a student and instructor panel from the Waterloo Career Center.

Mike O'Donnell of Iowa State University's Center for Industrial Research and Service will share tried and true practices to develop and augment your existing workforce to maximize output, quality, and employee engagement.

1:30pm Employee Engagement Workshop Getting employees engaged is a function of cultural change – and changing culture is a difficult task. Gary Higbee offers useful steps and sound advice to help employers avoid pitfalls and improve engagement.

Gary Higbee, Higbee & Associates, Inc., is our distinguished keynote. Gary has more than 40 years of experience ranging from the factory floor to plant management and speaks internationally. Gary will be speaking about Managing Complex Change. He says there are five critical components that must be dealt with to assure successful change and, if any are omitted, you face the risk of a failed or ineffective initiative. Gary also leads a workshop on Employee Engagement that you won't want to miss!
