Hawkeye Community College will hold limited in-person commencement ceremonies for students who have completed certificates, diplomas, or associate degree programs during Fall 2019 or 2020, Spring 2020 or 2021, or Summer 2020 or 2021 semesters.
Graduates will be invited to one of three ceremonies, depending on their program of study:
- 10:00am — Liberal Arts
- 1:00pm — Health Sciences
- 4:00pm — Applied Science & Applied Arts
Students must fill out the graduation application, RSVP by April 30, and purchase their cap, gown, and tassel to participate in commencement.
The commencement ceremony will be held at the University of Northern Iowa McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.
Each graduate participating in commencement will receive eight (8) guest tickets. Each graduates’ guests will be given assigned seats in pods of four physically distanced from others. Guests will need to present their ticket at the door in order to attend the commencement ceremony. Tickets were emailed to participating students on May 7, 2021.
All attendees will be required to wear face masks. The McLeod Center will be cleaned and disinfected between each ceremony.
The ceremony will be live streamed for those unable to attend.
