Microsoft Office Specialist

Advance your everyday proficiency of Microsoft Office 2016 Suite, the most common software tool in the world, and earn the credential that proves it!

This 57-hour certificate program is for those with basic computer skills to prepare you to become a certified Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). This industry recognized credential demonstrates to employers that you have the computer skills and competencies required to be successful as an administrative professional. This course will enable you to increase your skills and competencies in various Microsoft Office programs, including:

  • Word
  • Access
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Outlook

Hands-on tasks are built into each class to practice what you learn. Final class projects help you prepare for Microsoft Office Specialist Core certification.

Who Should Enroll?

This program is for individuals currently working or have previously worked as an office professional and would like to improve their computer skills for advancement.

Class Information

Class meets: January 21–April 14, 2020 on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00–9:00pm.
No class February 4, 6, March 17, 19, 31, and April 2.

Location: Main Campus - Buchanan Hall

Cost: $1,099. Includes four Microsoft Office Specialist study guides, one practice test, and one Microsoft Office Specialist exam retake voucher for the software of your choice. Financial assistance may be available for individuals who qualify. Call 319-296-4290 to learn more.
