Learning Objectives

  • Understand why strengths matter and the data behind the strengths movement.

  • Examine your strengths profile and dig deeper into your Top 5 Talent Themes and associated reports.

  • Review best listening practices (active listening, paraphrasing, clarifying, and summarizing).

  • Set performance goals in order to apply your talents toward desired outcomes. 

  • Examine your balconies and basements and address strategies for managing raw or underdeveloped talents.

  • Review the 12 Elements of Great Managing and Gallup’s Employee Engagement Hierarchy. Discuss employee engagement from the following perspectives: Basic Needs, Individual, Teamwork, and Growth.

  • Understand the critical role leaders have on the engagement levels of their team and how leveraging team strengths can impact significant business outcomes.

Traci is the founder of Follow Your Strengths and one of the first Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches in the state of Iowa. Follow Your Strengths offers customized StrengthsFinder® workshops, performance management training, leadership coaching, and speaking engagements.  Traci’s work experience includes organization development, career coaching, and training delivery. Clients have included ACT, Accenture, John Deere, Iowa State University, and The University of Northern Iowa.

Traci is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and earned her Bachelor in Business Administration in Management and Organizations from the University of Iowa and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas.
