Date: Tuesday, November 20, 2018
Location: Buchanan Hall—Advanced Technology and Business Center
All employees, especially those that are new and just cutting into their organizational scene, go through many hoops and hurdles to ingrain themselves into the organizational culture, norms and expectations. Yes, their boss is a helpful source for information, but does an employee really want to bother their boss with questions all of the time...NO! Also, wouldn't it be great if employees could have a resource in their back pocket to bounce ideas off of, to normalize situations and to get a handle on how to develop in their industry or even develop key relationships in their organization? The answer is yes!
In this session, participants will learn how to incorporation a great mentoring program in their organizations. We will cut through the differences between, leadership, coaching, counseling and mentoring. All of the participants will gain value from this session by taking a closer look at how they and others are being supported in their company and how we can enhance our workplaces through this opportunity.
