There is no “unsend” option on the words you speak. Learn to organize and communicate effectively in team meetings as well as when sharing results and reporting to your manager. Topics include verbal skills, body language, and presentation style to get one’s message across effectively and in a professional manner. Learn how what you say and how you say it affects your ability to build relationships and get the best results. Includes role playing and classroom practicing in front of the group to develop presentation skills in a fun, friendly setting.
Facilitator: Dr. Celina Peerman
Dr. Celina Peerman serves as an organizational psychologist through training, coaching, and instructional design activities that focus on creating sustainable learning cultures at work. She has worked with Hawkeye Community College for over 15 years and specializes in organizational behavior and human resource management-related training and projects. Her professional experience includes senior leadership roles in human resources, organizational development, and operations positions in both profit and non-profit organizations.
Celina has led successful workshops and designed training for a variety of industries, as well as presented at numerous conferences for local, state, and national audiences. She is focused on providing quality training and services that directly contributes to better service for all stakeholders, in particular the retention of front-line staff and strength of first-line supervisors. Her passion is for how people behave at work: the good, the bad, and the worst.
