Student Involvement

posted on Sunday, September 1, 2019 in  Parent Newsletter

Dear Hawkeye Parents,

The Fall semester at Hawkeye Community College is off to a great start. Classes began on Monday, August 26. There are a number of activities planned for this semester to help students meet other students and have some fun between or after classes. Check out our Student Activities Calendar to see the wide variety of activities that are taking place this month and throughout the year. We know that students who are involved in campus activities are more likely to succeed in college. Please encourage your son or daughter to watch for signs around campus or stop by the Brock Student Center or the Health Education Services Center (HESC) to see what else is scheduled!

The Hawkeye RedTails now compete in intercollegiate sports including Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Dance (Co-Ed), Esports (Co-Ed), Men's Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Sports Shooting (Co-Ed), Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field, Women's Volleyball, and Bowling (Co-Ed). Beginning this fall, recruiting is underway for Bowling student athletes. You can see the season schedule and game results on the Hawkeye RedTails website. Go RedTails!

Thank you for your support of Hawkeye Community College.

Todd Holcomb, Ed.D.
President
