Involvement Through the Library

posted on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in  Parent Newsletter

Research shows that students who are INVOLVED are more SUCCESSFUL! You can encourage your son or daughter to get involved by stopping in at the Library! The Little Free Pantry which is typically filled with canned and boxed food plus personal care items for our students in need, is located just inside the north entryway to the Library. Students interested in helping with the Little Free Pantry may enroll in an honors class or participate if they are a member of Hawkeye's Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa. Hawkeye's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (LGBTA) Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month in our Library 211 classroom from noon until 1:00 p.m..Students are encouraged to bring a lunch and a friend to the meetings! Also, our Multicultural Student Organization will meet in our Library classroom 211 on March 11th and April 8th at noon. It's very easy for students to get involved at the Library!
