Hawkeye Community College and How to Ace College Searches

posted on Friday, August 31, 2018 in  Parent Newsletter

The beginning of the school year is always a whirlwind and the days fly by! Your student is learning their new schedule, letting the rust of summer fall wear away, and jumping in to the year with both feet. On the back burner is the future, and what schools they will apply too. It is a stressful decision with unlimited possibilities. It is hard to find the right fit. Sit down with your student and make a list of needs and wants.

Needs are essential things such as a program your student may consider studying, cost, and location. Wants may include athletics, dining options, familiarity, or a variety of extra-curricular activities. It is important to determine what to look for now so you and your student are not overwhelmed when visiting all the options.

If you have not already, sign up for an Experience Hawkeye Visit Day to learn more about all the options we have to offer at the right price. If you are familiar with Hawkeye Community College, schedule a tour with our friendly admission staff to learn even more about a specific program, athletics, or our extra-curricular programs. Starting the search early and being prepared alleviates some of the stress and makes junior or senior year more enjoyable. These memories only happen once, so enjoy them instead of being stressed! Call us today 319-296-4000 to learn more and become part of the RedTail family.
