Financially Fabulous over the Holidays

posted on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in  Parent Newsletter

Wondering how to stay financially fabulous over the holidays?  The Financial Aid Office has some tips for you.

  1. File your 2019-2020 FAFSA. Complete your FAFSA online at studentaid.ed.gov (FAFSA.gov) or on the MyStudentAid mobile app
  2. Check your Hawkeye email during holiday break to determine your financial aid eligibility for Spring 2019.
  3. Save Money
Use cash for your purchases. This will help you track how much you’re really spending.
  4. Make a shopping list before you head to the store, AND STICK TO IT.  This way you are less likely to impulse buy.
  5. Think homemade- roll up your sleeves and go D.I.Y for holiday gifts.
