Fin Aid Fast Fact: Did you know you will report your 2018 tax information when you file your 2020-21 FAFSA application?

Spring registration is approaching! Does your student have all of their 2019-2020 financial aid in place?  If not, they may still have an outstanding tuition bill and won’t be able to register for spring classes. Encourage them to check in with the Financial Aid Office.

November is Financial Aid Awareness Month! It’s time to start thinking FAFSA for the 2020-2021 school year.  Did you know the 2020-21 FAFSA became available on October 1st? We would be happy to assist you with filling this out. Please follow the link to sign up for a FAFSA appointment

Or attend our community FAFSA Ready Iowa Night on November 6th at the Hawkeye Community College Van G. Miller Adult Learning Center (120 Jefferson St. Waterloo, IA.) from 3:00-6:30.  This event is open to all students and families.

Is your student graduating this December? Did they borrow Federal Student Loans? If you answered yes to both of these questions, make sure they sign up for an In-Person Exit Loan Counseling session, complete Online Exit Counseling, and complete Path 3 of the GradReady program series.  Student transcripts and diploma will be held until these requirements are completed. Contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions.
