Final Countdown

posted on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in  Parent Newsletter

Dear Hawkeye Parents,

As our 2018-2019 academic year comes to a close, I want to thank you for supporting your son or daughter’s journey. There are many activities taking place in these final weeks of the semester, leading up to graduation on Friday, May 17. Our Student Life department is planning a variety of activities during “summer send-off” week from May 2 through May 10. Activities include “Pong for Pizza” in the Brock from 11:00am-1:00pm on May 1, Pet Pals from 11:00am-1:00pm in the Brock Student Center on May 6, chair massages from 12:00-1:00pm in the Brock Student Center on May 7, Sweet Treats in the Brock Student Center on May 8, and a golf tournament at South Hills Golf Course at noon on Friday, May 10. Please encourage your student to take advantage of these opportunities!

Summer and Fall registration is currently underway – including May and August Minimesters – so if your son or daughter will be continuing at Hawkeye please encourage him/her to register early as many classes fill quickly. Summer classes are offered in 4-week, 6-week, and 8-week formats with a variety of start dates so there is something for everyone!

And, as always, thank you for your support of Hawkeye Community College.

Linda Allen, Ph.D.
President
