Seminar on Organ, Tissue, and Eye Donation is April 19

WATERLOO–Hawkeye Community College will host “Transforming Lives: Organ, Tissue, and Eye Donation,” a free training for nursing, social work, and EMS professionals and students, on Wednesday, April 19, at 7:00 p.m. in Buchanan Hall on Hawkeye’s Main Campus, 1501 East Orange Road, Waterloo.
Natalie Oakes, professional outreach coordinator for the Iowa Donor Network, will provide attendees with the knowledge, resources, and skills needed to refer all imminent and cardiac deaths in a timely manner; assist in organ, tissue, and eye donation procedures; and support potential donor families throughout the process.
This training is 50 minutes in length and is approved for 0.1 Nursing CEU, Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #326, and 1 EMS CEH, CEH Course approval #17-1800-407-FE.
