Hawkeye Community College Student Sarah Yoder Named American Dental Assistants Association 2018 Merit Scholar

WATERLOO–Sarah Yoder of Pella is the first Hawkeye Community College student to receive a 2018 Merit Scholar Award from the American Dental Assistants Association.

The faculty in the program nominated Yoder because they believe she exhibits proficiency the critical clinical skills of an educated dental assistant. Award recipients are selected based on their advanced academic achievement and clinical performance, as well as teamwork and leadership qualities in campus, program, and community activities. The award comes with a one-year paid membership in the American Dental Assistants Association.
