Graphic Communications students help Elementary student with 2015 My Waterloo Days logo development

posted on Monday, March 30, 2015 in  College News

My Waterloo Days 2015 theme is “Waterloo’s Got Talent.” Part of the marketing strategy this year was to hold a contest for K-12 students to create the 2015 logo. The winner of this contest was an original festival logo developed by Poyner Elementary School student Madison Cranston.

Hawkeye Community College’s Graphic Communications students participated in refining Madison’s concept and presenting multiple solutions for the My Waterloo Days team to evaluate. The logo was finalized with the help of VGM Forbin senior web designer Mark Wubbena. Mark is a former Graphic Communications program student.
