Mount Mercy University Accelerated Business Administration

Hawkeye Community College and Mount Mercy University have partnered together to offer a degree program which delivers courses in an accelerated format, in the evening, specifically designed for working adults. Students transferring from Hawkeye Community College may elect to enroll in the BAS Applied Management Degree or the BBA/BAS Management Degree at Mount Mercy University. Please meet with an advisor to find out which is right for you.

Transferring to Mount Mercy University

Students will need a transfer GPA of 2.0 or higher to be admitted to Mount Mercy University.

Students can transfer a maximum of 75 semester hours from Hawkeye towards the 120 hours needed for graduation at Mount Mercy University. In addition to the 63 credit hours required to complete Hawkeye's two-year, 63 credit hour Business Administration AA degree, students can complete an additional 12 credit hours at Hawkeye to transfer to Mount Mercy University. Students will have junior standing upon transfer to Mount Mercy University.

Transfer courses meeting general education and elective requirements and completed with a grade of D- or better will be accepted. Whether or not the D- grade counts toward the major is up to the individual department. Developmental or remedial learning college credit is not transferable.
