Add a Course / Late Registration
Vital instruction begins on day one. You are encouraged to attend the class you wish to add.
Late registration begins on the third day of any course (excluding Minimesters). For example, if the course for which you wish to register begins on January 10, after January 12 you will need to follow the late registration process.
It hasn't been three calendar days since the course started, how do I register?
Registering After the Third Day of Classes
Gather the course information such as the course catalog number and class day/time.
Contact the course instructor to ask for permission to register for the course. Be sure to include the course information in your correspondence.
To grant you permission to register for the course, the course instructor and Academic Dean will need to sign the Registration and Records Policy Waiver form or send the Registration office an email via their Hawkeye email address. Be sure the correct course information such as the course catalog number and class day/time is included in the email.
Where to find the Registration and Records Policy Waiver form:
The Registration and Records Policy Waiver form or email must be received by the Registration office by the registration deadline. Registration after the second week of a 16-week class is not permitted. All other course formats will be pro-rated accordingly.
Please keep in mind that your financial aid grants will not be adjusted as a result of any changes in your enrollment after the financial aid lock date, including late start classes. Refer to the Financial Aid Handbook for more information.
