3 credits—This course will present basic principles of human nutrition and the nutritional needs of athletes and/or physically active populations. Examination of nutrition’s effects on health and human performance, focusing on fuel sources, metabolism, hydration, supplement use and ergogenic aids, maintaining a healthy body composition, and eating disorders will also occur.
