Martin Luther King Jr. Center

The Martin Luther King Jr. Center is a neighborhood center that provides educational opportunities for the community providing outreach to under represented populations.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Center offers:

  • College Credit Classes: Choose from traditional classroom, ICN, or online courses you can take right here at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center including the 

  • Nursing Assistant (CNA) program

  • ACCUPLACER assessment: Call to schedule an appointment to take the ACCUPLACER assessment. We also offer the ACCUPLACER PAL Tutoring Program to help prepare you for the test.

  • Job search assistance including application and resume writing.

  • Assistance to students applying for financial aid and/or registering for classes.

  • A computer lab for students and community.

  • Cedar Valley Iowa V>A>P Virtual Access Point for Service: Access to IowaWORKS system to file for unemployment and other services also offered at the University Avenue site.

  • Referrals to basic needs agencies for assistance with access to resources such as rent, utilities, food, shelters, and health care.
