Most facilities on Hawkeye Community College's main campus are accessible. However, due to the infrequency of public use, the age and structure of the facilities, and the changes required to provide full accessibility, it has been determined that it is not feasible to make structural changes to the Physical Plant and Chickasaw Hall. To provide accessibility to the services and activities provided in these buildings, the following solutions have been identified.
Accessing the Physical Plant
Stairs leading to all entrances
No classes are held in this building. To access Print and Mail Services call 319-296-2320, ext. 1220 for assistance (e.g., pick up, delivery services).
Restroom
An accessible restroom is available in the Brock Student Center next door.
Accessing Chickasaw Hall
Stairs leading to the entrance
If accessibility is an issue, the accommodation will be to move the entire class to an accessible shooting range. Call the Dean of Liberal and Applied Arts and Human Services at 319-296-4041.
Restroom
An accessible restroom is available nearby in Buchanan Hall.
