Diversity Discourse Lecture Series
The Diversity Discourse Lecture Series provides free, self-paced, online, and in-person learning opportunities for students and staff (videos, books, articles, etc.) that ties directly into Hawkeye's Institutional Learning Outcomes.
The purpose of the Diversity Discourse Lecture Series is to enrich the educational experience, encourage critical thinking, challenge stereotyped preconceptions, help students learn to effectively communicate and/or relate to people of varied backgrounds, and strengthen inclusiveness in our campus workplace.
Black History Educational Opportunities
BlackHistoryMonth.gov: The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity to achieve full citizenship in American society.
