Stay Healthy Stay Safe Pledge
All members of Hawkeye Community College have an important role to play in keeping the Hawkeye community safe and doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
As a member of Hawkeye Community College, I know I must take steps to stay well, and in order to protect others and promote a safe return to campus. Because of this, I pledge to take responsibility for my own health and help stop the spread of the COVID-19.
I pledge to protect myself, my peers, and the Hawkeye community by doing the following:
I will wear a face covering on campus.
I will practice physical distancing, maintaining at least 6 feet between myself and others as well as avoid large gatherings.
I will practice proper hand washing or use a hand sanitizer.
I will stay at home if do not feel well.
I will let my instructor or supervisor know if I am experiencing symptoms, have direct contact, or have tested positive for COVID-19.
I understand it is a difficult time and I will be kind and patient with others.
Every student, faculty, and staff member is asked for their commitment to the Stay Healthy Pledge by signing electronically no later than August 24.
As a thank you for doing your part in keeping the Hawkeye community safe, the college is giving every student and employee a face mask. Students can pick up their face mask at the Library or the Health Education and Services Center starting on Monday, August 24. Students will need student ID. Employee face masks will be sent to their department on Monday, August 24.
We are in this together!
