Accelerated Degree Programs for Working Adults - Designed for individuals who want to take the next step in their careers and earn a degree. Classes start Fall 2009.
Hawkeye Community College has partnered with Mount Mercy College to offer an accelerated baccalaureate degree. Baccalaureate degrees will be offered in Management and Applied Management. This program is a great option for individuals who have begun or completed an associate’s degree in an approved Hawkeye program.
Individuals who have started, but not completed their two-year degree at Hawkeye must finish their degree. To complete their two-year degree, individuals can take advantage of Hawkeye's flexible class scheduling with day, evening, and online classes.
Individuals who have completed an approved two-year degree from Hawkeye can begin the accelerated baccalaureate program.
Up to 75 credit hours of an individual’s two-year degree may transfer into Mount Mercy's accelerated baccalaureate degree. This allows you to earn 13 additional credit hours at Hawkeye. Accelerated courses will be offered on Hawkeye Community College's main campus. Classes are offered one night a week for a five-, eight- or ten-week block.
The Accelerated Management Program is for individuals who have completed an Associate of Arts degree from Hawkeye Community College.
The Accelerated Applied Management Program is for individuals who have completed an Associate of Arts or an Associated of Applied Science degree from Hawkeye Community College.
