Arts & Literature, Etc.
The Arts & Literature, Etc. Club is an organization for Hawkeye students who are interested in the arts, literature, and publishing.
Each year the Arts & Literature, Etc. Club strives to produce a high quality compilation of works which reflects the themes of dissent juxtaposed with those of public ideals through artistic collaboration. The club is dedicated to raising awareness of diverse and social issues currently effecting our society. The result is our annual publication, the ETC Magazine, featuring the creative talents of the Hawkeye Community College community.
During the 2016–2017 academic year, the Arts & Literature, Etc. club will be participating in Hawkeye Reads Book Talk: "We Are Called To Rise." Themes from this book will be used as the themes for this year's ETC Magazine edition.
In addition to publishing the annual ETC Magazine, the Arts & Literature, Etc. club raises funds for the publication, organizes community service events, and collaborates with other Hawkeye clubs in order to benefit our community, advertise our club, and socialize with other clubs.

Want to enhance your creativity while learning new business skills? Join the ETC Magazine team! We strives hard to organize, promote, and display artistic works of the Hawkeye Student Body. Think of it as running your own publishing company, art gallery, or newspaper firm.
Here at ETC, you’ll develop skills that can easily be transferred into the workplace setting. Useful skills such as graphic design, photo editing, promotion and marketing, maintaining a deadline, fundraising, leadership, and communication improvement.
You don't have to be an artist. We need members from all interests including art, graphic design, web development, business, English, writing, math, accounting, psychology, etc. to help expand our organization.
