Clubs and Organizations

Hawkeye clubs and organizations are student-driven with a faculty or staff member as an advisor.

We encourage you to get involved in a club/organization that interests you, or to start a club/organization we don't currently have!

Art & Literature, Etc.: Special interest club for students interested in having their art and literature published and gets students involved in the publishing process.
BASIC—Brothers and Sisters in Christ: Christian club. Members have gatherings and work closely with the BASIC group from UNI.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club: A special interest club for students interested in learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a self defense system form of martial arts.
Business Professionals of America: Club for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology, and other related career fields.
Criminal Justice Club: Club for students involved or interested in the Criminal Justice or Police Science programs.
Education Club: Special interest club for education and child development students.
EMS Club: Special interest club for students involved in or interested in the Emergency Medical Services program.
Golf Team Club: Sports club that competes against colleges all across the state.
Hawkeye Anime and Manga Club: View and discuss Japanese animation and manga (comics).
Hawkeye Gamers Club: Special interest club. Members play group computer games.
Horticulture Club: Club for students interested in horticulture. To learn more, contact club advisor Dan Lichty.
International Student Organization: Club for students to learn about different cultures and traditions bridging the gap between International and American students.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (LGBTA) Club: Special interest club for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allies. This is a safe zone.
ManUp↑: Share your experiences and discuss today’s issues in healthcare.
Multicultural Student Organization: Diversity club that works to raise awareness of the diversity of Hawkeye Community College and the Cedar Valley.
Occupational Therapy Assistant Club: Special interest group for Occupational Therapy Assistant students.
Natural Resources Club: Focus on outdoor studies involving the environment.
Phi Theta Kappa: Academic honor society. You must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. They offer leadership skills, fellowship, and scholarships.
Photography Club: Club for students interested in photography and photojournalism.
Physical Therapist Assistant Club: Club for Physical Therapy Assistant students.
Respiratory Care Club: Special interest group for Respiratory Care students.
STEM Club: The STEM Club educates students about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) majors and careers.
Student Ambassadors: The members of this club are the main representatives of Hawkeye Community College, Experience Hawkeye Visit Days, and many other special events on and off campus.
Student American Dental Assistant Association (SADAA): Special interest group for Dental Assisting students.
Student American Dental Hygienists Association (SADHA): Special interest group for Dental Hygiene and Dental Assistance students.
Student Leadership Council: The voice of the students at Hawkeye Community College. Members are involved in leadership, legislation, all the activities on campus, and much more.
Student Nursing Association: Special interest group for Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing students.
Student Veterans of America: Special interest club for veterans and current military as well as family and friends.
