Immunizations

These immunizations are the recommendation of the American College Health Association. Additional information is also available from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Vaccine Major Indications

MMR

Measles, Mumps, Rubella
All college students born after 1956 without history of disease are recommended to have two doses of MMR vaccine.

Varicella

Chicken Pox Vaccine
All students without history of chickenpox are recommended to have two doses of varicella vaccine.

Td, Tdap

Tetanus/Diphtheria/ Pertussis Vaccine
All students are recommended to have one Tdap vaccine after the age of 11 years old.

Hepatitis B Vaccine

All students are recommended to have the 3 dose Hepatitis B vaccine series.

Meningitis Vaccine

(A,C,Y,W-135)
All students living in dormitories/residence halls or close quarters are recommended to have 2 doses of the Meningitis vaccine.

Flu Shot

Respiratory Influenza Vaccine
All students are recommended to get the flu shot annually.

HPV (Gardasil)

Human Papillomavirus Vaccine
All females up to 26 years old and all males up to 21 years old are recommended to get the Human Papillomavirus Vaccine.

Hepatitis A Vaccine

All students are recommended to have the 2 dose Hepatitis A vaccine series.
