Hawkeye Scholarships

Hawkeye has many scholarships available for you.

Eligibility Criteria

• 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA

• enrolled in a minimum of six credits

• number of credits in which you are enrolled or have completed to date

• financial need

• other specific criteria designated by the scholarships donor
  • On the Hawkeye scholarship application, please check any "Other Criteria" that apply to you and describe any checked criteria in your personal statement. This will help us determine if you are eligible for scholarships with specific requirements.

• your personal statement. Many scholarships look at your personal statement to determine if you are eligible.

To Receive a Scholarship for the Fall Semester

By completing one application, you are applying for dozens of scholarships.

1. Complete a Hawkeye scholarship application by March 1.

2. Register for classes by May 1. If you are scheduled to register for classes after

   May 1, please contact the Foundation office with your scheduled registration date by May 1.

If you have been awarded a Hawkeye scholarship, we will notify you by  mail on or before June 30.

We will keep your application on file as long as you are attending Hawkeye and are consecutively registered for Fall and Spring semesters.

To Receive a Scholarship for the Spring Semester

By completing one application, you are applying for dozens of scholarships.

• Complete a Hawkeye scholarship application by October 1.
• Register for classes by December 1.

If you have been awarded a Hawkeye scholarship, we will notify you by mail on or before December 30.

We will keep your application on file as long as you are attending Hawkeye and are consecutively registered for Fall and Spring semesters.

Receiving Your Award Funds

Hawkeye  scholarship awards will be credited to your student account. If your student account balance is less than what you have been awarded, the Business Services office will mail you a refund check.
