Financial Aid FERPA Policy
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) deals with the rights of students and parents relating to:
- inspecting records.
- procedures to request amendments to those records.
- rights concerning disclosure of personally identifiable information.
- rights concerning filing a complaint with the Department of Education for a school’s failure to comply with FERPA requirements.
If a student wishes to have financial aid information released to other individuals, a separate form must be completed in the Financial Aid office.
