Renewing Your Financial Aid Award
Each year you must complete a FAFSA to be considered for federal or state aid. In general, if your calculated financial need and academic standing remain consistent from year to year, your financial aid package should also remain consistent from year to year. Calculation of your eligibility for financial aid is based upon the information you and your family provide on your FAFSA. If your family situation changes, your financial aid award may also change the next year you apply for financial aid. Examples of changes in family situation include: - your family's income increases or decreases
- your family's assets increase or decrease
- another sibling enters or leaves college
- change in marital status
Work-StudyIf you currently have a work-study position and you would like to continue working next year, you will need to secure that position with your supervisor before you leave for summer break. You will also need to re-apply for work-study funds. College Catalog | Student Handbook | Financial Aid Handbook | Next Page > |
