How to Forward Your Hawkeye Email Account

You can forward your Hawkeye email to an external email account by following the instructions.

Please Note: If you choose to forward your email, Hawkeye will not be responsible once the email has been sent beyond our system and Hawkeye will not be able to track these emails.

  1. Sign on to your Campus Outlook Email.
  2. Click on the “Rules” button in the lower left hand corner.
  3. Click on the “New” button on the top toolbar.
  4. Type a name for your rule in the “Rule Name” box.
    1. Click on the “Forward it to” radio button in the “Then” section.
    2. Type in the email address you want your Hawkeye email messages forwarded to.
    3. We recommend that you uncheck the “Keep a copy in my Inbox” check box. If this box is checked the messages will be forwarded to the address you type in and all messages will also remain in your inbox. This will require you to still maintain and clean up your Hawkeye Email to eliminate the possibility of your mailbox getting full.
  5. Click on the “Save and Close” button at the top of the rule display.
  6. Click on the “OK” button to accept the rule addition and make it active.
  7. Click the “Save and Close” button on the top tool bar.
  8. Once this rule is in place, only new messages will be forwarded. Any existing messages will not automatically be forwarded.
